Sionic is currently seeking a **Commercial Partner** to join the team on a permanent basis within our Banking & Markets practice in Spain.
**The opportunity**:
At Banking & Markets we have a unique, specialist track record of delivering lasting change in financial services. We work with Exchanges and CCPs worldwide on a range of clearing solutions across both OTC and listed product sets. We assist our clients to achieve their organisational objectives and high priority change initiatives. We partner with clients to augment their own transformation capability on specific programmes through to entire change functions. Our specialisms enable us to offer both specific and complimentary expertise, while our proprietary intellectual property measurably and demonstrably increases the likelihood of transformation success.
**You will**:
Be accountable for originating and closing team consulting engagements and developing client accounts to provide incremental revenue. You will work collaboratively and engender an environment of team selling with accountability for driving profitability and growth for an agreed defined business area and/or clients. You will also be jointly accountable for the financial performance of Banking & Markets EMEA and for Sionic's market reputation.
**Strategic**:
- Supporting strategic growth plans by originating new business at new and existing clients within our largest practice, Banking & Markets EMEA.
- Working closely with account and assignment leads to grow accounts and open new accounts.
- Managing the sales cycle from origination to closure and through to further sell on. Selling teams of consultants and outcomes as opposed to staff augmentation.
- Working closely with account leads, to ensure new business opportunities will be commercially deliverable.
- Working with consultant SME's, Marketing and Managing Partners to further develop collateral, offerings / propositions, tools and approaches to support origination activities.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of Sionic's strategy, culture, vision and values.
**Financial & Commercial**:
- Developing and implementing annual financial and operating plans for own client accounts/relationships, incorporating and developing Sionic strategy collaboratively.
- Proactively recommending measures to improve engagement profitability across Sionic.
**Operational**:
- Client focused; operating across multiple client accounts, developing relationships and identifying opportunities.
- Negotiating and influencing skills, managing challenges with clients.
- Excellent understanding of operational aspects of delivery, including assignment management and quality processes.
- Building winning sales partnerships with colleagues..
- Contributing to innovative thinking, particularly in shaping responses to industry challenges.
**Client**:
- Demonstrate a broad understanding of clients' underlying business and their individual needs.
- A broad understanding of regulatory driven change and associated challenges for our clients.
- Credibility dealing with senior C-level stakeholders.
- Building long term strategic relationships within client accounts at senior levels which can be leveraged for future business opportunities.
**Skills & Qualifications**:
**Essential**:
- Strong ability to influence, negotiate and encourage decision-making amongst clients.
- A track record of building new and further developing existing senior relationships based on trust and credibility.
- Ability as a proactive seller / someone who is entrepreneurial and hungry; not just an 'order taker' relying on big company brand.
- Client-credible broad knowledge and understanding of banking regulations, Operations and / or Tech organisations.
- Ability to present winning ways in which Sionic can solve identified client needs.
- The ability to communicate / articulate in a winning way our value propositions / features / benefits.
- The ability to close opportunities.
- At least 2 years of experience of winning new Master Service Agreements and dealing with procurement functions within Financial Services.
