Are you our new Data Science Manager?
Intrum is the European leader in collection services and it is transforming its business into fully data centric and data driven.
This will involve developing next generation data products that will improve and optimize our functions (Operations, Marketing, Digital, HR etc) across the whole company and new data products as the foundation of new data centric business lines (e.g. DaaS, SaaS, Credit Bureaux).
The Data Science Lead will be part of an elite group of data scientist at the core of this transformation, and will participate in creating a learning environment in our Centre of Excellence For Data Science and Intrum as a whole.

Your key responsibility will be
- Deliver key data science initiatives across different geographies
- Produce data-driven insights and outcomes clearly and communicate effectively with people of varying levels of data literacy and technical knowledge
- Manage, grow and upskill a team of data scientists and ML engineers
- Translate real-world business requirements/requests into technical/mathematical problems that can be solved with data scientific methods
- Drive the move towards embracing data-driven practices across the board, in particular Test & Learn
- Actively contribute to the development of a Data Community, aimed at transforming Intrum into a data centric company
- Lead the continuous improvement process within the team

Your qualifications
We think you have
- At least 5 years of relevant experience (with continuously expanding responsibilities)
- Experience in managing data science teams
- Master’s Degree preferably Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics or other technical fields
- Advanced English Level
- Strong leadership, organizational and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to deliver results to the appropriate quality and timeline metrics, with good judgment and ability to manage competing priorities
- Analytics background
- Experience with R, Python, or equivalent technologies to perform complex statistical analyses on both internal and external data
- Microsoft Excel (MS Office) skills
- Ability to work and report multi-functionally, cross-culturally in an international environment
