Altair EDEM is high-performance software for bulk and granular material modelling, used to quickly and accurately simulates and analyses the behaviour of coal, mined ores, soils, fibres, grains, tablets, powders, and more.
EDEM simulation provides engineers with crucial insight into how those materials will interact with their equipment during a range of operation and process conditions. It is used by leading companies in the heavy equipment, off-road, mining, steelmaking, and process manufacturing industries to understand and predict granular material behaviours, evaluate equipment performance, and optimise processes.

**What you will do**:
- Participate in R&D-based collaboration projects and engagement strategies based on customer requirements and existing EDEM capabilities.
- Provide day-to-day support to our industrial and academic collaborative partners and offer technical input and guidance to help ensure collaborations progress in a timely and mutually beneficial manner.
- Use EDEM customisation capabilities to provide innovative "workaround solutions" to address collaborator needs.
- Support commercial activities with opportunities in emerging market sectors.
- Provide regular feedback and recommendations on existing and future EDEM functionality based on feedback from collaborators and market research.
- Participate in Product Team discussions to review feedback and help support product planning discussions.
- Work in partnership with our collaborators to produce branded marketing material to help promote EDEM

**What you will need**
- University Degree in Relevant field (e.g. Engineering, Physics)
- Desirable Postgraduate studies in Computer Modelling or Particle Technology
- Knowledge of Discrete Element Modelling (preferably EDEM)
- Some experience of other CAE and simulation software (FEA, CFD, etc.)
- Basic programming experience with Python and/or C++.
- Innovative thinking, diligent, hardworking, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work as part of a team demonstrating a willingness to support others in achievement of overall objectives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, as well as good interpersonal and networking skills.
