The Centro Nacional de Análisis Genómico (CNAG-CRG) is one of the largest Genome Sequencing Centers in Europe. CNAG-CRG researchers participate in major International Genomic Initiatives such as the International Cancer Genome Consortium (ICGC), the International Human Epigenome Consortium (IHEC), the International Rare Diseases Research Consortium (IRDiRC) and the European Infrastructure for life-science information (ELIXIR), as well as in several EU-funded projects.

It is integrated with the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG), an international biomedical research institute of excellence, based in Barcelona, Spain, with more than 400 scientists from 44 countries. The CRG is composed by an interdisciplinary, motivated and creative scientific team which is supported both by a flexible and efficient administration and by high-end and innovative technologies.

In April 2021, the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) received the renewal of the 'HR Excellence in Research' logo from the European Commission. This is a recognition of the Institute's commitment to developing an HR Strategy for Researchers, designed to bring the practices and procedures in line with the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers (Charter and Code).

**The role**

The Structural Genomics Group headed by Marc A. Marti-Renom and hosted at the CNAG and Genome Biology program of the CRG is seeking a laboratory technician to work in the field of structural genomics.

**About the team**

Our group at the National Center for Genomic Analysis - Centre for Genomic Regulation (CNAG-CRG) develops and uses experimental and computational approaches for characterizing the molecular regulation of cells by studying the structure of macromolecules and their complexes. In particular, we focus on regulatory molecules such as RNA and chromatin.

**Whom would we like to hire?**

**Professional experience**

**Must Have**:

- Minimum of two years of wet lab hands-on experience in molecular or cell biology.
- Experience in technologies related to chromatin analysis (e.g. Hi-C, ATAC-seq, ChIP-seq).
- Able to work with cell cultures.

**Desirable but not required**:

- Microscopy experience.

**Education and training**
- You hold a lab technician qualification, bachelor, master or PhD degree in sciences related to molecular biology and/or genetics.

**Languages**
- You are fluent in English.
- Technical skills
- Hands-on experience in at least 3 of the following areas:

- Expertise in molecular biology.
- Mammalian cell culture.
- Epigenetic analyses.
- NGS methods (libraries construction).
- Confocal or super resolution microscopy (IF, DNA/RNA FISH).
- Transfection and FACS sorting.

**The Offer - Working Conditions**
- **Contract duration**: open-ended contract for scientific-technical activities (estimated duration will be two years with possibility to extend for two more years)
- **Estimated annual gross salary**: Salary is commensurate with qualifications and consistent with our pay scales.
