The Partners in Care Network (PiCN) for Oncology is a growing and powerful Global Alliance of Investigators at “Best in Class” sites. Our team is growing to include an Associate Director, ready to build on their site engagement experience at the global level in a fast paced and highly matrixed environment. This is a unique opportunity to support the growth of a new concept within the organization, working within a small established distributed team.

The Partners in Care Network will support multiple indications with ongoing implementation and growth through 2024 and beyond. This network has the potential to encompass 300+ sites globally supporting both internal led studies and outsourced studies. This role will require positive relationships with internal AZ stakeholders, local countries, and Global Medical Affairs to ensure success. This cross functional collaboration will ensure we deliver “concierge service” to PiCN sites to improve the site experience, engagement, and performance at a portfolio level.

As an Associate Director, Partners in Care Network you will:

- Support operational aspects of the PiCN network to meet agreed upon objectives
- Provide project management in support of key priorities, maintaining monthly reports, PiCN Site Trackers and Project Charters for operational clarity
- Support teams for a seamless site experience, monitoring issue pathways and supporting teams with required operational needs
- Build and contribute to collaboration and communication plans with internal and external stakeholders including other AZ site networks and scientific exchange partners to ensure efficiency, consistency, compliance, and alignment

Essential Skills and Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree, with work experience in the pharmaceutical industry experience or similar large multinational organization
- Experience engaging with external partners, ideally large institutions, cooperative groups and/or academic research organizations
- Knowledge of clinical operations, project management tools and processes and experience with the drug development process in various phases, including knowledge of GCP (Good Clinical Practice) and other regulations governing clinical research
- Proven project management and the ability to work within agreed objectives and manage priorities, resources, performance targets and project initiatives
- Well-developed communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, particularly across culturally diverse teams, including internal and external key collaborators
- Capable of making effective decisions, acting courageously and communicating with conviction at all levels

Desirable Skills and Experience:

- Project management certification
- Knowledge of process improvement methodology such as Lean Sigma/Change Management
- PowerBI and/or other data analysis tools

We balance the expectation of being in the office while respecting individual flexibility. This role is only available in the following locations: US (Gaithersburg MD or Wilmington DE), Mississauga Canada, Warsaw, Poland or Barcelona, Spain. This role does not support fully or partially remote work.
