**Spain** has an opportunity for a highly motivated, task focused and confident
**Accountant** to join our dynamic Finance team in supporting finance and accounting for our Spain subsidiary. You will be
**well versed in Spanish general accounting**.
When it comes to
**expertise in accounting**, you’ll showcase your experience, preferably being
**part qualified in Spanish accounting**, ideally with experience of SAP, but most importantly your ability to work to tight deadlines whilst delivering accurate information. This is an amazing opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to develop their career into an Accountant role.
**What you’ll be doing**:
- Assist in preparing the full set of accounting books and related accounting affairs.
- Processing local Purchase Invoices and matching to purchase orders according to PO procedure, limits and approval process.
- Processing daily bank journals and weekly bank reconciliation.
- Processing direct debits.
- Employee expenses - processing claims, checking claims against local expense policy.
- Credit management:
- Performing credit control procedures on new accounts and annual review on established accounts.
- Maintain relevant documentation
- Assisting preparation of overdue AR customers for local collection in Spanish.
- Review customers’ credit limits and accounts
- Send monthly statements
- Issue escalation or final notice letters
- Assist Preparation and completion of month end financial reporting to be reviewed by Country Accountant Spain.
- Assist local preparation of Country specific VAT.
- Fixed Assets management.
- Assisting filing of statutory documents.
- Report regularly to Senior Accountant Spain.
- Assist Control and approval of company policies e.g. expenses, capital expenditure etc.
- Assist logistics/customer service with the management and control of inventory.
- Assist the Coordinating with Shared Service Department in China who complete accounting processes for Spain Finance.
- Ad Hoc reports for Senior Accountant Spain
**Who we’re looking for?**
- Part qualified ideally, working towards recognized Spanish Accounting qualification.
- Experience using SAP will be highly beneficial, but will also consider another CRM system if you are willing to learn
- Extensive knowledge with Microsoft Office is advantageous - you **must have **advanced Excel including V-LookUp and Pivot Tables
- Fluent written and spoken Spanish and English as a business language
- **You will require the right to work in Europe without company sponsorship**
