This Head of HR role will oversee the HR provision and partner with the Managing Director for the Spain and Italy region of the business. You will have a small team directly reporting into you but will indirectly oversea local HR support at the various locations. The HR Director is looking for a strong leader and commercially minded business partner to join the business at a time of growth (acquisitions). The Head of HR will lead on the development of key HR policies and practices, collaborating with the EU HR team and centres of excellence to expand the HR provision.

Key focuses for the role:

- Ensure that clear HR standards are determined for the breadth of business and service levels are maintained
- Continuous development of the talent strategy (both attraction and development)
- Build clearly defined process for the business to manage employee relations matters and to ensure consistency and fairness of approach
- Support the onboarding of newly acquired organisations into the business by development of people onboarding and communications plan
- Development of learning and development calendar to cover professional development, onboarding and management skills
- Ensure the diversity and inclusion continues to grow and embed across the organisation
- Take existing well-being and employee engagement initiatives and develop them to suit the needs of the client group
- Work with the EU Reward Partner to build a holistic pay and benefits structure, informed by appropriate market research

While based from the Barcelona hub, there will be travel required to various parts of Spain and northern Italy, as well travel to the UK 4/5 times a year.

**Who is our client looking for?**
The business is looking for a commercially focused HR professional, likely in a Head of HR or Senior HR Business Partner role currently and ideally with experience in fast paced, multi-site business. Experience working in an international environment would be beneficial. A calm, inclusive leadership style and ability to breakdown complex issues or projects to support stakeholder engagement is essential. You will be logical, forthright but fair and be confident presenting to business leaders.

You will be based from Barcelona 1 or 2 days a week and will likely travel to other locations across Spain/Italy once every 2 weeks with a trip to London with the EU HR team 4/5 times a year.
