**JOB PURPOSE & RESPONSIBILITIES**

Cathodic Protection is a specific mechanical integrity program inside SABIC OMS 315. Cartagena Site needs to evaluate program applicability based on this OMS requirement.

To evaluate SITE Cartagena approach over Cathodic Protection systems for piping, equipment, tanks and vessels as per Industry legal requirements, technical reference standards and SABIC OMS standards.

What are we looking for? We are looking for an Intern who can Develop a technical document with specific conclusions and potential action plan(s).

When would the Internship start? July 1st 2024

When would the Internship finish? September 30th 2024

The duration of the Internship is 3 months and there will be an evaluation at the end of the Internship.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- SABIC is looking for a hands on student that communicates well
- Excellent knowledge of the English language, both verbal and in writing (as well as Spanish)
- Preferred backgrounds are Technical Maintenance/Material Science/Bachelor and/or Master’s Degree in Maintenance/Reliability/Turnaround/Process Engineering/Mechanical/Industrial Engineer
- The work will encompass, literature search, material analysis, results reporting and will require the student to consult and work together with SABIC’s Maintenance Experts
- Student needs to be registered at a Spanish Institution and/or University in Spain to be eligible to partake in this Internship programme

**Location**:
Cartagena, Spain - this role requires the individual to come to site on a daily basis
