**Internship - Project 2 Technology & Innovation - ESP**:
In the Cartagena Industrial complex we develop and manufacture high-quality engineering thermoplastic materials that are respectful of the environment. **JOB PURPOSE & RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Identification at lab scale of the most promising molecules and routes
- Lab trials - Lab scale polymerizers
- Analysis of Results
- Proposal for first Pilot Plant scale up

What are we looking for? We are looking for an Intern who can Identify and Test Different Additives relating to Polycarbonate Products

When would the Internship start? July 1st 2024

When would the Internship finish? September 30th 2024

The duration of the Internship is 3 months and there will be an evaluation at the end of the Internship.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- SABIC is looking for a hands on student that communicates well
- Excellent knowledge of the English language, both verbal and in writing (as well as Spanish)
- Preferred backgrounds are Technical Bachelor and/or Master’s Degree in Chemistry
- Soft skills: Proactive person, Analytical Thinking, Teamwork
- Strong team player: proven capacity to work effectively within the unit and with different departments.
- Student needs to be registered at a Spanish Institution and/or University in Spain to be eligible to partake in this Internship programme

Desirable:

- Hands on experience of laboratory labware, ease in handling him/herself in a laboratory environment, since most of the work will be lab.

**Location**:
Cartagena, Spain - this role requires the individual to come to site on a daily basis
