**JOB PURPOSE & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Polymer Operator Training System (OTS)
- During the deployment of this project the student will work in two main steps : #1. process modelling (at high level) and #2. DCS (DeltaV) configuration to deploy those models for the Polymer Unit.
- At the end of the project the trainee polymer DCS operator will be able to operate the plant with real sequences and controls using a development environment and with a high fidelity of our process.
- Model main variables in Polymer plant (levels, temperatures, flow,...etc)
- Program those high level model in DCS-DeltaV control system.
- As part of the project the student will work with DCS operators using their feedback to improve the OTS.

What are we looking for? We are looking for an Intern who can work on Process Modelling and DCS Configuration

When would the Internship start? July 1st 2024

When would the Internship finish? September 30th 2024

The duration of the Internship is 3 months and there will be an evaluation at the end of the Internship.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- SABIC is looking for a hands on student that communicates well
- Excellent knowledge of the English language, both verbal and in writing (as well as Spanish)
- Preferred backgrounds are Technical Bachelor and/or Master’s Degree in Industrial Electronics and Automation (Engineer)
- Recommended : Knowledge of EMERSON Delta V distributed control system.
- Required: Programming skills in POO languages (VB will be commonly used).
- Student needs to be registered at a Spanish Institution and/or University in Spain to be eligible to partake in this Internship programme

**Location**:
Cartagena, Spain - this role requires the individual to come to site on a daily basis
