**Financial Crime Compliance - Sanctions Screening Lead**

**Malaga Office - Hybrid working - (3 days / week in the office)**

**The Role**

The Sanctions Screening Lead will report into the Group Head of Sanctions and will be responsible for managing the 2nd line Sanctions Compliance function within Ebury, one of the fastest-growing Fintech companies in the world.

They will play a key role in maintaining the firm's sanctions compliance framework to ensure alignment with UN, EU, UK and US sanctions and our banking partners.
- Supporting and reporting to the Group Head of Sanctions in maintaining the firm's sanctions compliance framework
- Working closely with the Financial Crime operations on sanctions related matters and projects such as, name screening and payment screening.
- Ensure that all Global Sanctions' watch list instructions are compliant with current global regulations and policy standards.
- Validate list management control points as it pertains to list maintenance.
- Working to identify detection scenarios.
- Providing analytics support for developing, tuning, optimising and modifying segmentation to improve sanctions screening systems.
- Supporting any changes to Sanctions Screening Systems Tuning and Optimization Procedure that would impact sanction screening models and tuning.
- Advise process and control owners relating to customer/ payment screening and transaction monitoring systems in terms of how to design and implement solutions which effectively manage Sanctions risk.
- Providing training relating to Sanctions Screening, watchlists and global regulations and policy standards.
