The Position
The Innovation and Technology Development (I&TD) team is expanding capabilities and key competences, with organic synthesis identified as critical tool to deliver into our innovation journey. The Laboratory Technician executes experiments for new pipeline products development and process innovation in collaboration with the relevant scientists while ensuring smooth and safe operation of the I&TD laboratory.
Main activities and responsibilities
- Designs and executes laboratory research activities focusing on new product and technology development.
- Executes organic synthesis, API chemical processing (purification, isolation) experiments.
- Synthesis or organic impurities.
- Interpretation of analytical data for decision making.
- When required, manages the I&TD laboratory, ensuring the right equipment is available and in technical good shape for seamless execution of all ongoing research.
- Ensures data traceability.
- Executes the activities ensuring compliance with legal regulatory requirements and company QESH (Quality, Environment, Safety and Health) policy. Including activities such as house keeping, waste management, samples organization).
- Participates in scale-up and tech-transfer.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor or Master Degree in a relevant life science field such as Chemistry, Biochemistry, Organic Synthesis or similar
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience executing of laboratory experiments
- Fluent in English language
- Adaptable, self-motivated and curious systems thinker
- Good communications skills
- Results oriented
