**ABOUT US**

The Algorand blockchain - designed by MIT professor and Turing Award winning cryptographer Silvio Micali - is uniquely capable of delivering on the promise of a borderless global economy. It achieves transaction throughputs at the speed of traditional finance, but with immediate finality, near zero transaction costs, and on a 24/7 basis. Its carbon neutral platform and unique pure proof-of-stake consensus mechanism solves for the “blockchain trilemma” by achieving both security and scalability on a decentralized protocol, and without a second of downtime since it went live in 2019.

The Algorand Foundation is dedicated to helping fulfill the global promise of the Algorand blockchain by taking responsibility for its sound monetary supply economics, decentralized governance, and healthy and prosperous open-source ecosystem.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**
- Research on the blockchain education landscape across global academic institutions
- Provide project management support to the university program
- Contribute to student club discord with discussion prompts
- Host X spaces, webinars and introductory workshops
- Coordinate content creation with current Student Champions
- Help the student engagement lead in management of partnerships and milestone deliverables for the partners
- Scout blockchain education programs and student clubs and prepare reports
- Assist with due diligence on inbound university program proposals
- Coordinate calls and projects for universities in particular
- Build repo of useful educational resources for the student community
- Be an Algorand ambassador at their local university and provide local event support as needed

**WHAT YOU WILL DEVELOP**
- A deeper understanding of the Algorand ecosystem and the role of students and universities in it
- Strong skills on setting priorities and partnership management into community development.
- Understanding on content creation, social media management and coordination with ecosystem and community engagement
- Strong organizational skills for managing work with international teams
- Understanding of university proposals and grants programs

**TIME INTENSITY & DURATION**
- June - August, between 10-12 weeks.
- 20 hours per week ideally; part-time is possible

**WHO YOU ARE**
- You are a student aspiring to become a Developer Relations professional or a marketing student (or related field) with a deep understanding of blockchain technology.
- Expert in time and project management
- Genuine interest in technology and blockchain in particular
- Prior experience engaging in or moderating Discord discussions
- Prior experience in using a CRM software (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce), project management tools (e.g. Jira, Trello) and form building/survey tools (e.g. Qualtrics, Google Forms, Submittable)
- Proficient in English and able to communicate clearly and effectively with external stakeholders
- Proficient in Google Suite, MS Office

**GOOD TO HAVE**
- Hands-on experience with active community engagement with both offline and online events and resources
- Hands-on experience in creating content for different platforms and audiencesPrior or current participation in local blockchain student club
- Experience in intercultural communication and awareness of global and cultural issues
- Proficiency in additional languages such as Spanish, Italian, and French
