Job Description:
JOB OVERVIEW
The Finance Lead of Europe for Ohmium International, Inc (“Company”) is responsible for establishing and executing on the finance, treasury, and tax records in Europe including oversight of local and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (“GAAP”) compliance and other accounting and finance functions in Europe.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and execute on the financial strategy for Europe, setting up financial systems and staffing. Act as a key business partner and engage in key projects and strategic initiatives while managing complex accounting activities. Establish, maintain, and report on financial, planning and analysis activities to include budgeting and budget versus actuals for Europe. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance under statutory reporting and US GAAP. Partner and engage with global tax, internal and external auditors, and external service providers. Ensure strict statutory compliance of all legal entity establishment and filings, in accordance with regional, national, and local laws and internal policies and procedures, and that all regulatory issues are promptly resolved, and deadlines are met.
Effectively manage direct and indirect taxation (goods and services tax, annual, et cetera), including filing tax returns and managing audits. Manage statutory audits by providing regional support for corporate audit requests. Manage local banking and cash and treasury relationships. Oversee accounting system and auxiliary system implementations. Provide ongoing training and education to the European finance and accounting teams to ensure its ability to execute on the Company’s goals and objectives. Build a strong accounting and finance team by ensuring effective hiring, development of employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. Develop policies and procedures for local compliance, aid in development of corporate policies.
LOCATION, TRAVEL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT- Office environment located in Madrid, Spain or a remote work location that provides a work environment that (a) allows for confidential or sensitive discussions; (b) is quiet and distraction-free; (c) has consistent high-quality internet and phone access (d) ensures availability during business hours in Nevada, nights and weekends as maybe required and (e) safe from hazards. FORMAL EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS OR EQUIVALENT- Bachelor’s Accounting or Finance

WORK EXPERIENCE- Ten (10) or more years’ experience in accounting or finance in a corporate environment which includes working for a US publicly traded company

- _required._- Strong working knowledge of US Sarbanes Oxley Act compliance, regulatory standards, and local taxation as well as general understanding of US GAAP
