We are seeking a detail-oriented, entrepreneurial, and highly professional **Accountant** for a permanent position within our Finance team. The accountant will report to the Head of Finance and work closely with the rest of the Finance team in Spain and internationally.

mediasmart is part of the Affle group - a global technology company that is listed on the stock exchange in India. Affle group has been in the adtech/martech business for over 15 years and runs multiple ad platform businesses like Appnext, Vizury, RevX, MAAS in addition to mediasmart.

**Summary of the Role**

The Accountant will manage the day-to-day accounting and the response and output production functions required of the department for the entity in Spain. Spanish accounts must be consolidated on a quarterly and annual basis with other accounts of the Affle group, hence, accurate reporting on a timely basis is critical in this position.

The accountant must work closely with the Head of Finance as well as with other team members of the finance team overseas as well as the financial auditors.

**Responsibilities**
- Manage account book-keeping of all financial accounts for mediasmart in Netsuite, which includes customer/supplier profile creation process, processing of invoices (customers, suppliers, and intercompany activity) and manage the information flow with the Spanish Tax Agency, bank entries & bank reconciliations and recording of provisions to facilitate the monthly / quarterly / yearly book closure.
- Provide detailed financial reports to group finance team and auditors for reconciliation on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Invoice customers and manage collections. Keep close track of the account receivables.
- Assist customers on their finance-related issues, queries, doubts, or requests.
- Calculate and prepare intercompany invoices.
- Actively participate in collaboration with the Head of Finance and other international finance team members in the creation and improvement of current finance tools and processes in general.
- Provide all the necessary support from an accounting perspective for mediasmart to successfully complete all quarterly and annual audits.
- Payroll management and reconciliation in coordination with the external payroll agency.

**Requirements**:

- Must be fluent in Spanish, both oral and written.
- Must be fluent in English, both oral and written, as this is the language used for interaction with most of our team members and the business language for all our tools and documentation.
- Proficiency using Excel and Google Sheets is required.
- Proactivity, critical thinking, and a good disposition for working in teams are a must.
- Experience working effectively with cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams is a plus.
