**Job Description - Junior Accountant**
**PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Support the monthly billing process consisting of the generation and distribution of fee for services invoices, including backup details, for our manufacturer customers.
- Work in close collaboration with AmerisourceBergen corporate (shared services) and local teams to solve and respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner.
- Process incoming (customer) payments as well as continuously monitor accounts receivable, including taking dunning and collection measures if deemed necessary.
- Review, and process accounts payable invoices, ensure timely payments and collaborate with vendors to address issues (if any).
- Update purchase order tracker keeping the vendor list up-to-date, bank details and backup information.
- Ensure new (or changes to existing) vendors are set up and communicated to AmerisourceBergen Shared Services (US) in a timely manner with the required documentation.
- Collaborate with the Senior Accountant and global accounting teams on monthly financial close activities, such as preparing bank account reconciliations, intercompany records and general ledger journal entries.
- Provide support to the accounting department on various accounting and audit related tasks.
- Assist with company initiatives and projects in terms of financial analyses as required.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
**What your background should look like**:
**EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS**:
- 1 - 2 years of professional experience in accounting; ideally in the pharmaceutical or related industry with an international focus.
- Completed Swiss commercial vocational education or equivalent; Federal Vocational Baccalaureate is advantageous.
- Strong English skills is a must, both in oral and written, German highly desirable, any other language is a plus.
- Excellent professional IT Skills (Microsoft Office suite: excel, word, power point)
- Able to work in an international environment and in virtual teams.
- Independent and very well structured, organized and highly analytical, proactive and trustworthy.
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and dive into the details.
**REPORTS DIRECTLY TO:
**Senior Director, World Courier Global Financial Planning & Analysis. This role will also work closely with the Vice President of Global Finance.
**MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS**:
- Ability to work effectively across teams, including regional Finance teams but also teams outside Finance such as HR;
- Must be self-motivated and able to take ownership of tasks and deliver them successfully while working remotely from the Head of FP&A;
- Must be able to balance short and medium term tasks, prioritizing effectively to meet tight deadlines;
- Strong analytical skills and detail oriented;
- Flexible in respect to working hours.
