- As Associate Director Global Insurance you will be reporting to the Head of Group Treasury the position is directly responsible for setting and achieving global and local territory strategic objectives; ensuring effective hazard (insurable and uninsurable risks) risk management for the global organization; managing both the HQ based and USA based insurance teams; and for leading and directing key internal and external stake-holders involved with or needing local or global insurance/risk management related solutions.
- This position, based in Spain, owns the process of identifying, measuring, and managing insurable and uninsurable risk and hazard risks, developing strategic reports and plans; analyzing risk & insurance is-sues within the organization; and for defining and overseeing the implementation of the insurance/risk solutions that help optimize operations globally. Communicates findings to senior management and implements strategies to mitigate or remove the identified risk.**Your responsibilities include, but not limited to**:

- Direct responsibility for developing, managing,

negotiating, executing, and implementing Global and
- local insurance programs in alignment with Sandoz’
- global strategy initiatives and procurement
- guidelines across all divisions worldwide, including
- but not limited to Liability & Clinical Trials, Directors
- & Officers Liability, Transport/Marine, K&R,
- Construction projects, Executive Car Fleet, Art;
- Directing the US insurance team who are
- responsible for the US Casualty, US Fiduciary, US
- Surety/Custom Bonds, and US Boiler & Machinery
- insurance programs in support of US operations.
- This also includes the analysis of underwriting and
- loss forecast exposures, optimizing coverage terms,
- identifying and correcting coverage gaps to protect
- company assets; ensuring that global and
- compulsory local policy placement needs are
- fulfilled.- Select, direct, and collaborate with insurance

markets, insurance brokers, and other ser-vice
- providers to ensure the highest level of expertise,
- quality support, and creative insurance solutions;
- establish and implement KPIs to measure third party
- performance- Provide technical expertise to Sandoz stakeholders

worldwide in support of insurance strategies and
- insurance language in contractual agreements with
- customers and service providers, including the
- evidence of insurance process.- Establish and manage Global and US insurance

budget; coordinate and communicate budget
- matters in alignment with Group BPA &
- Procurement; ensure proper allocation of the
- insurance premiums among Global and US
- BUs/CPOS- Advise, coordinate and manage confidential and

complex claims activities worldwide with relevant
- stakeholders, including securing insurance fund
- recoveries/payments, etc.- Ensure adherence to the SOX Compliance

processes, engaging with all key stakeholders to
- meet compliance requirements (USA, CH, Group
- CFC, External Auditor); manage global ISRM/IGM
- directives and best practices that pertain to the
- corporate insurance function.- Provide insurance-related support/advise for

M&A/BD&L transactional activities, coordinate

**Minimum requirements**

**Education**:
Advanced degree in Business, Risk Management or other insurance, finance-related field. ARM, CRM, CPCU.**Languages**:
German, English Advanced, spoken and written.
- Other language skills are an asset**Experience**:

- 10+ years total in the industry and/or in the field of

corporate risk management and insurance.- Excellent communication skills.
- Extensive insurance and complex claims management

knowledge- Experience working for large, multi-national complex

organizations- Contract negotiation and project management skills
- Management of direct reports.
