**Position Overview**

In line with Lear within **Electronics Systems**, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Manager to support the electronic operations. Facility based on the Valls Electronics campus (Tarragona, Spain). He/She will be reporting to the Regional Quality Manager.

Our plant’s main OEMS customers are: BMW, JLR, AUDI, VOLVO, RSA..

Our future Quality Manager as part of the management team of the plant, will provide leadership and direction to ensure the continuous improvement of the quality systems in the manufacturing plan, suppliers, program launches and engineering changes; in order to achieve the highest level of Customer satisfaction.

The following areas to manage:

- Management Systems - including Quality and Environment (maintaining and continuously improving the management system in place in the plant, including its evaluation/statistics)

In case of need, acts as the management representative for management systems in accordance with IATF 16949.
- Review and agrees quality management objectives and corresponding training, determining corrective and preventive actions.
- Working with customer portals and working with customer reviews.

**As Quality Manager, your responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to)**
- Fulfills Lear’s Environmental and Quality Policies and Procedures.
- Exercise functional control for quality.
- Create a “felt need” in the plant to insure that continuous improvement takes place.
- Drive and follow up the operating plan for objective attainment in RPPM, IPPM, customer quality spills, customer written complaints and flawless launches.
- Manage the Quality Department, Quality laboratory and direct reports
- Ensure with external/internal quality containment effectiveness including development of containment plan.
- Know and communicate the voice of the customer to the plant to drive actions to improve customer satisfaction.
- Communicate to management customer dissatisfaction.
- Correct behaviors and practices that lead to poor quality.
- Provide quality training to employees.
- Track and report key quality performance data in accurate, and timely manner
- Coordinate PPAP activities to ensure quality information and delivery on time.
- Insure that the measurement system is analyzed (calibration, gage R&R)
- Insure in-plant validation (tooling, processes, manufacturing area) is executed.
- Continuous reduction of quality cost.
- Participates in meetings with customers and auditors. Quality coordination and support in internal and external non-conformance resolution

**To be a success in this role you must have**:

- Strong drive, determination, and management skills to lead from the front and get the best out of your team.
- Previous Quality and Management experience
- Previous experience in launching or growing new business
- Excellent people skills: leadership ability to build and direct the department
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability
- Project management skills
- Fluency in English Language is mandatory
- University degree in an engineering or technical discipline
