About the job:
Use your organizational skills and software industry experience to manage requests for proposal (RFPs) for the leading company in the open source world.

Red Hat is looking for a Bid Manager for RFP to join us in the EMEA region. In this role, you will manage proposal activities generated by sales managers. You’ll be responsible for managing the RFP response process, establishing project timelines, and communicating project details to the response team. You will manage several concurrent projects.

This is a fixed-term, 6 months contract.

What you will do:

- Lead and manage proposal and assessment response development (written, oral, demonstrations)
- Manage RFP projects by creating project timeline, ensuring adherence to schedule, coordinating, advising, and leading the RFP response team
- Establish trusted working relationships with Red Hat’s teams, in particular with sales managers, sales engineers, solution architects, product specialists, finance, legal and Deal Desk for additional information
- Facilitate the development of win strategies and value propositions together with the account team
- Compile RFP response content blending styles of multiple authors
- Maintain accuracy of grammar, spelling, and punctuation and formats of texts and check pictures, graphics, etc. for aesthetics, quality, and adherence to RFP specifications
- Editing the response for grammar, punctuation, capitalization, clarity, readability, consistency, persuasiveness, and adherence to customer requirements
- Conduct compliance validation
- Provide document quality and editorial input throughout the process
- Compile supplemental texts and attachments
- Provide final submission to sales representatives or directly to customer
- Capture, maintain, and refresh reusable content

What you will bring:

- Experience working in a rapidly changing, deadline-based position involving daily interaction with multiple levels of management and peers
- 2+ years of experience in proposal development responding to RFPs or in a related field
- Advanced experience creating business and technical documents and presenting these
- Strong ability to actively approach, challenge, persuade, and work with senior and experienced team members, leaders and customers
- Prior program management experience
- Experienced in template and style formatting including working with proposal/content management tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; another European language (Spanish, German, Italian) is a plus
- Proficient in working in a fast-paced, international work environment with mínimal supervision
- Ability to manage confidential information
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Highly willing to share expertise and experience by actively coaching others
