**The Role**:
The solution Manager creates the overall technical vision for a specific solution to a business problem. You will design, describe, and manage the solution.
The Subject Matter Expert (Solution Manager) is an authority in a particular area, topic and/or solution (technical and/or functional), providing input and direction on the design, development and support of solutions within their area of expertise. Responsible for defining and supporting the building of desirable, feasible, viable, and sustainable business solutions that meet customer needs.
Within this role, you will be the bridge between the business and IAG Tech (incl. 3rd party solution providers) by understanding and capturing the business needs in a way that enables IT to develop, test and deploy the solution(s) that deliver the target business benefits.
Working in partnership with the business you will use structured best-practice methodologies to understand the business needs, target benefits and priorities. Create and manage their requirements workshop plan(s) and lead the workshops to ensure objectives are achieved.
Consider both business needs and the IAG Tech Enterprise Architecture Strategy (including defined standards) when supporting IAG Tech with solution design. Manage the review and sign-off/approval of documented requirements, covering the following as a minimum input.
**About you**:
- Strong analytical approach to capturing business requirements and documenting them in a succinct manner. Ability to recognize priorities and guide others towards the accomplishment of strategic business goals and objectives.
- Embracing and managing both business and IT change as necessary to help shape the future direction.
- You will need to be fluent in written and spoken English.
- Demonstratable experience in successfully performing a Solution Manager role in both Agile and Waterfall delivery settings, process engineering and requirement documentation. Experience in working within architecture frameworks and process mapping tools would be highly desirable.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience with recognized qualifications. Recognized Agile and Waterfall qualifications and recognized process engineering qualifications would be highly desirable.
Working in partnership with IAG Tech and the business to:
- Define and support the building of desirable, feasible, viable, and sustainable large[1]scale business solutions that meet customer needs.
- identify and define customer needs including functional & non-functional requirements
- understand the solution context
- develop the solution vision and the capabilities required to meet them and support the creation of the solutions architecture and design
- create an underpinning solution roadmap
- assure desirability and viability of the solution over the product lifecycle
- align the solution train’s ARTs and suppliers on what to build and how establishing the solution intent repository
- participate and drive solution train events including Pre
- and Post-PI planning, Solution and System Demos, Solution Train Sync, and the ART and solution train
