**THE ROLE**

WiseEnergy is a trusted and established solar asset manager, offering all the services clients require to manage and optimize large-scale solar plants, from development and construction through to long-term operational asset management. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, passionate finance professional to support the delivery of finance asset management services to one of our most important clients in multiple international jurisdictions.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working in fast-paced and complex work environments and desires to develop experience in the financial controlling aspect of the business. The role will be a key member of the team who will be responsible for all financial management (end-to-end finance cycle) of our portfolio of assets in Spain.

The role will be expected to be part of the core finance team and therefore you should have a strong analytical mind, process improvement driven, attention to details and strong communicator with ability to build relationship with financial and non-financial stakeholders.

We manage a fast-growing fund and as scale increases, various ad-hoc workstreams will be expected for the business, frequently more than the “business-as-usual” activities. As such, effective time management, critical thinking, and the ability to solve problems are crucial.

There is an expectation of consistency and accuracy of outputs, as well as delivering and maintaining a high degree of customer service (internal and external). In view of this, you will be expected to appropriately flag issues and support their resolution through to the end and proactively drive continuous improvement.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Financial reporting**
- Executing the end-to-end finance cycle of all accounting records (posting journals, reviewing invoices, reconciliation of all accounts, etc.)
- Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, and principles
- Prepare and analyze financial statements
- Ownership of entities on Netsuite accounting system
- Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely year-end audit.
- Prepare periodic (monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc) financial reporting for SPVs and Holding companies.
- Prepare deliverables as required by lenders and investors
- Adhere to deadlines set by all stakeholders ensuring deliverables are delivered on a timely basis.

**Taxes**
- Prepare all tax compliance filings (VAT, WHT, annual corporation tax, etc.)
- Manage relationship with tax advisors and lawyers to enforce business decisions whether it is tax, compliance or non-tax related.

**Treasury**
- Prepare and execute end-to-end payment process - invoice review, cost approval processes, and initiation of payments
- Prepare cash management activities - forecast and distribution projections
- Prepare annual budget and update periodically

**Stakeholder Management**
- Collaborate with other functions within the Group
- Liaison with and oversight of client appointed service providers (auditors, administrators, tax advisors, company, and other market specific providers)
- Ensure that the assets responsible are in compliance with local laws & regulations

You do not need to be a technologist yourself but you must be technically literate and curious about the possibilities that technology

**EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS**
- University degree qualification (essential)
- Experience with Spanish VAT, WHT, annual corporation income tax and other local tax submissions (essential)
- Experience of multiple GAAPs (IFRS, local Spanish GAAP) (essential)
- 3+ years finance experience (essential)
- Capable in taking ownership and managing accounting software (Netsuite or similar) (highly desirable)
