Market Category Specialist, Indirects Europe
Location: London, Amsterdam, Madrid, Edinburgh, Glasgow or Dublin
Contract: 6 Month Fixed Term Contract

Join our Procurement Team at Diageo, where we source, produce and deliver 6.5 billion litres of world-leading products every year, across 180 markets globally. Our Procurement teams make a far-reaching contribution to our business, productivity and growth goals right across the globe.
As part of our Europe Procurement team, you'll play a pivotal role in contributing to performance and building and protecting Diageo's reputation across our supply base. This involves delivering outstanding end-to-end value through commercial leadership, innovative supplier solutions, and driving our sustainability agenda.
About the Role
The Europe Indirects procurement team is responsible for the management of circa $400m spend across categories including Real Estate & Facilities Management, HR Services, Professional Services, and Route-To-Consumer. This role will specifically lead the HR Services category, including fleet, recruitment, temporary labour, learning & development, domestic mobility, and benefits.
Responsibilities:
Deliver financial and non-financial targets.
Deploy Europe / Global category strategies.
Deliver excellence through sourcing, demand management, supplier relationship management, supplier development, and supplier innovation.
Lead and implement ongoing supplier performance through rigorous performance KPI's and SLA's.
Key collaboration with stakeholders ensuring full engagement.
Promote the highest standards of compliance consistency.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
Degree educated or equivalent relevant work experience.
Fluent in English; fluency in other European languages is a benefit.
Procurement and/or Business experience in key skills including negotiations, forecasting, and benchmarking.
Strong analytical skills including data interpretation to enable development and implementation of category strategies.
Ability to find opportunities, identify and balance risks and benefits.
Forensic understanding of the cost drivers to target and influence costs through end-to-end value.
Ability to identify and problem solve independently.
Commercial competence and understanding of the business.
Ability to work in an agile, fast-moving environment.
Strong communication and influencing skills with stakeholders.
Objectively challenge established practices to stimulate alternative thinking.
