The Reservations and Sales Training Program aims to introduce hotel and tourism students to the hospitality industry, providing them with an enriching hands-on experience in these departments. Here, our trainees will be merged in a safe and learning propitious environment, acquiring the operative knowledge directly from our experienced professionals and managers, who will work hand in hand with the student.Besides the practical training, there is always an on-sight group induction for all trainees where they will learn about the hotel chain and hotel brand, including their concept and purpose, values, and standards. Additionally, the internship program also includes a set of department-related e-learning courses.At last, students will have the opportunity to enroll in a variety of other online formations (R&R-related; or not) provided by theIHG training platform if they wish to. The property has an evaluation plan for all trainees. Each department sets objectives at the start of the internship and has two follow-up meetings - 30 days and 90 days. At the end of the internship, each HOD will send HR all the feedback for an end of the program session.Regarding weekly hours, all trainees work 40 hours a week (8 hours per day) with two rest days (on weekends). At InterContinental Barcelona, we work with a minimum training program period of 5 months, where the trainees will get to explore, learn, and assist in performing all tasks carried by the Reservations and Revenue Managers.The trainee will support the department in the following tasks:Book and enter room reservation requests using the Property Management System.Enter rooming lists while ensuring accuracy, as required.Update reservations ensuring a flawless check-in and check-out process.Ensure revenue is maximized by up-selling guest rooms and recommending hotel facilities and individual reservations.Possibility to establish an internship agreement with the university.Requirements:High-level Spanish/English.Proactivity, teamwork skills, predisposition to learn.#J-18808-Ljbffr
