Our mission is to operate and provide Communication, Navigation and Surveillance (CNS) services, among which, the main one is, the EGNOS service (the European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service), on behalf of the EUSPA (the European Agency for Space).We are looking for a CNS Service Evolution Expert who will lead technical activities focused on Service Provision in the ongoing projects/contracts (i.E., Satellite Communications/Iris, aeronautical Data-link Service Provision) and activities linked to CNS (Communication Navigation Surveillance) Services.We are looking for an Engineer with 5 years of experience in aeronautical communications, with special focus in data link (DLS) services and applications, and/or satellite technologies (Satellite Communication - SATCOM/Iris) domain. If you think you meet the requirement, this position might be for youMain responsibilities/activities:Support to project management activities in satellite communication (Iris program),Technical lead in all activities and deliveries related to CNS Services (e.G. data link communications) to:Provision of Iris (SATCOM) service, delivering as planned and participating in customer and supplier meetings; Technical architecture evolution; Evolution of service modelling and concept of operations characterization based on applicable regulatory framework and standards; Lead on technicalstudies and assessments of different technologies, state of the art for CNS; Service provisionrequirements definition, evolution and monitoring towards main suppliers; Lead some servicevalidation test cases during test campaign; Participation in Iris board, review performance reports, provision of technical advisory support to incident and problem resolution.Lead technical meetings related to CNS projects; Participation to international fora related to CNS (e.G., Eurocontrol, SESAR), gathering customer needs and/or providing guidance in the corresponding field; Report on CNS projects highlighting the current status of activities, next steps, issues/risks identified; Technical lead inthe identification and preparation of potential tenders related to CNS areas in line with ESSP business strategy.Profile:Deep knowledge in Communication Navigation Surveillance (CNS) /Air Traffic Management (ATM) technologies, especially focused on datalink technologies (Aircraft Communication Addressing and Reporting System (ACARS), VDL Mode 2, SATCOM-Iris, Aeronautical Telecommunication Network such as ATN/OSI and ATN IPS).Good understanding of European regulations (such as, but not limited to, Single European Sky regulatory framework and EASA regulation) as well as applicable standards (ICAO, EUROCAE, RTCA, ARINC...)
