ISGlobal is accredited with the Severo Ochoa distinction, a seal of excellence of the Spanish Science Ministry.Lugar BarcelonaWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR ISGlobal is looking for a research technician to cover the technical work in a research project on cognitive function and urban environment in the adult population in the framework of the iMAP study Barcelona. The overarching aim of this study is to examine the extent to which, how, and for whom aspects of the urban environment influence brain health and cognitive health in 600 mid-aged and older (50-79 years) community dwellers living in Barcelona, Spain.KEY RESPONSABILITIES We are looking for a person to arrange appointments and interview the study participants, set the study devices, download and introduce the data into a dataset.SPECIFIC DUTIES Arranging the participant's visits.Preparation of the devices for the study measurements.Interviews with the participants in the ISGlobal offices.Visit the participants' houses to install a device.Data entry and data transfer.Carrying out cleaning, quality control, and documentation of the databases used.Participating in the logistics required by the study.TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS Previous experience in research studies, interviewing study participants, data collection and/or database processing will be valued, as well as knowledge in environmental epidemiology.SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS We are looking for a person with high communication skills, as well as a professional attitude towards study participants, with attention to details. Moreover, we are looking for a person with high organization and teamwork skills, capable of working autonomously, proactively, and motivated, with good verbal and written communication. Flexibility of schedules will be highly valued as some interviews may be in the afternoon/evening.SKILLS Learning capacityProactive and motivated, capable of solving problemsStrong organization and team-working skills.Team player, yet capable of working autonomouslyThe post holder will adhere to ISGlobal principles contained in People management policy, including Equity, diversity, and health safety.
