Amazon is hiring for Reliability Maintenance & Engineering (RME) Technicians to join our Maintenance & Engineering team at our Delivery Station in Heathwood, Brisbane for Night Shift.
Please note that the current shift pattern includes 10-hour shifts x 4 days and one day working during the weekend.
Key job responsibilities:
Carry out planned preventative maintenance on the full range of equipment within the site.Put health & safety best practices first in all work carried out.React quickly to breakdowns, communicate clearly with affected teams and work efficiently to fix the issue.Support continuous improvement by learning from breakdowns and sending feedback and suggestions for improvements through the line manager.Provide high levels of equipment availability to our internal customers.Support and learn from Senior Maintenance Technicians.
A day in the life:
Our RME Technicians are based on-site, so they can respond quickly to any machinery issues. You'll carry out a range of planned preventative maintenance to our sites' equipment to make sure it's working safely. As an RME Technician, you'll also respond promptly to breakdowns, investigating, finding, and implementing solutions as quickly as possible. You'll also make suggestions for long-term improvements. Working alongside senior colleagues, you'll undertake day-to-day maintenance tasks and general building maintenance.

Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering or RME team keep our equipment performing at its best. We're a technically minded team, made up of excellent team players and guided by experienced leaders. We work together to maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment across our global network of fulfilment centres.BASIC QUALIFICATIONSFormal Trade Qualifications: Certificate lll in Electrotechnology with current electrical trade licenseExperience of planned preventative maintenance systemsExperience fault finding within Material Handling Equipment/Automation systemsAbility to read and understand electrical/mechanical drawingsExperience of conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/invertersExperience of working to appropriate health & safety standards and regulationsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience of computer maintenance systems (CMMS)Experience of sortation machinesExperience in an industrial environmentExperience of maintaining/configuring bar code scannersExperience of print and apply machinesAcknowledgement of country:
