Tamarind Intelligence: Marketing and Sales Analyst

We are seeking a skilled marketing and sales analyst to enhance our competitive intelligence, sales, and marketing efforts. The ideal candidate will have expertise in emerging markets and technologies.

This role involves generating insightful qualitative and quantitative analysis, developing strategies, identifying potential subscribers, mapping industry data services, and monitoring recent developments in data publishing businesses.

You will optimize the sales funnel performance from lead-to-revenue, analyze client usage patterns, provide data-driven recommendations for marketing campaign improvements, and deliver regular reports to management.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Sales and Marketing Data: Collect and process market data on Tamarind's subscription services, build contact lists for sales teams and marketing outreach purposes, segment potentials based on industry, role, and engagement in our sectors.
  2. Desk Research / AI: Gather data on new customers using internal and external sources, including AI, identify key individuals within large organizations to build relationships, and assist the sales and marketing team to reach out to new potential customers.
  3. Sales and Marketing Performance Analysis: Analyze the efficiency of the sales funnel to identify optimization opportunities and bottlenecks, measure marketing campaign performance across various channels, and provide data-driven insights to enhance conversion rates and reduce cost per acquisition.
  4. Data Visualization: Create visual representations of findings, including reporting dashboards for management to track progress for sales and marketing.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Data Analytics, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
  2. 2+ years of experience in sales and marketing analytics, with a strong focus on data interpretation, performance measurement, and actionable insights.
  3. Strong experience in market research, competitive intelligence, industry trends, and customer behavior analysis.
  4. Experience in marketing insights and digital analysis, including website and behavior analysis, digital campaign performance, sales funnel optimization, and lead quality and attribution analysis.
  5. Strong experience in data analysis and insight generation to drive decision-making.
  6. Understanding of CRM software (e.g., Zoho, HubSpot, Salesforce) and experience in analyzing CRM data.
  7. Ability to undertake unguided research into topics with limited data or information.
  8. Fluency in English as our working language and written content language.
  9. Proficiency in MS office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), other data analysis packages (R, Python, Tableau, PowerBI) valued.
  10. Experience working in similar industries, particularly market research or data industries, a plus.
  11. A creative mindset to think outside the box in a new and expanding industry.
