With its Digital Shelf Optimization and Retail Media solutions, Shalion provides innovative tools that facilitate ecommerce monitoring. We, at Shalion, enable brands to make smarter business decisions in eCommerce, based on actionable data and insights providing information on online product prices, availability, share of search, etc. in more than 800 e-retailers and 50 different countries. Our client portfolio includes industry giants such as Heineken, Diageo, and L'Oréal. Your responsibilities as Head of Taxonomy will include: Lead the taxonomy team- currently a team of approx 10 people - mostly based in Argentina Implement continuous improvement systems and find out of the box solutions for complex technical problems Keep abreast of new releases and product functionality to ensure successful implementation for clients (sources for innovation) Set up procedures and working standards to make sure all the projects are delivered on time Coordinate multiple, simultaneous projects, ensuring project expectations/timelines are met, and issues are addressed Your profile should include the following: +2 years of experience in team management Degree in Mathematics, Science or Technology Strong logical and analytical thinking, you love challenges and finding out of the box solutions Comfortable challenging the current state of things and leading for process improvements and innovation Strong project, time and organizational management skills Excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English, spoken and written. Other languages are a plus Experience coordinating cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail Quick thinker, pragmatic, adaptable, innovative problem solver and self-motivated Proficiency with Excel and familiarity with SQL and interest in technology Available to travel 2 weeks/ 3 times per year Ideally you will also have: Experience managing remote teamsWhat we offer you Talented, diverse and very friendly work environment Hybrid work: a mix of remote and in-office work to boost our productivity and promote a work-life balance To be part of a high-performing team in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
