Open positions Title: PostDoctoral researcher position at the FaXToR beamline

ALBA operates ten beamlines, complementary facilities, and an Electron Microscopy Center, currently constructing multiple more beamlines and expanding the Electron Microscopy Center. The synchrotron light produced by 3 GeV electrons is used by thousands of researchers to analyze and understand the properties and functionality of matter.
As a successful candidate, you will work with a team of ALBA experts, external collaborators, and users to develop the capabilities of the LOREA instrument, a new beamline dedicated to Angle-Resolved Photo Emission Spectroscopy (ARPES). You will support users and develop your own scientific program aligned with the facility's goals.
Responsibilities Provide support to the general users of BL20-LOREA as Local Contact.
Develop your own scientific program aligned with the beamline's scientific program.
Participate in the maintenance, commissioning, and upgrade activities of the beamline.
Engage in ongoing beamline research programs, national and European projects, and collaborations.
Contribute to developing the ARPES program within ALBA II, the upgrade project of ALBA to a 4th generation synchrotron.
Requirements The candidate must hold a PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, or similar disciplines.
This position is reserved for candidates with a legal status of disability, with a degree of disability equal to or greater than 33%.
Selection Process Development The selection will be carried out through the competition-opposition system. An analysis of the curriculum will be conducted, assessing experience, training, and other relevant information.
