THE ROLE The Collections Intern is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the collections process for customer accounts.
This role ensures timely payment of outstanding invoices while maintaining positive client relationships.
The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and an understanding of credit and collections processes.
YOUR CHALLENGE Monitor and manage accounts receivable portfolio, following up on overdue invoices via phone, email, and written communication.
Develop and implement effective collection strategies to ensure timely payments.
Maintain accurate records of all communications with clients and update account information as necessary.
Resolve billing issues and discrepancies with internal teams and clients, providing excellent customer service to maintain positive client relationships.
Prepare regular reports on the status of delinquent accounts, identifying patterns and suggesting improvements to the collections process.
Collaborate with the accounting and sales departments to manage payment terms and credit limits for clients.
Evaluate and recommend accounts for escalation, as well as preparing documentation for third-party collections if necessary.
Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, company policies, and compliance regulations related to collections and accounts receivable.
YOU WILL ROCK AT THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE...
Bachelor or Master degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Possibility to do an Internship or just finished your studies Curiosity and willingness to learn Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively.
Ideally proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with compliance regulations regarding debt collection is a plus.
