The individual will be a member of BCD Travel's Legal Department reporting to the General Counsel.The primary goals are management of the company's global insurance program, working directly with BCD Travel's insurance broker and insurance carriers, and supporting the Legal Department and other internal departments with insurance-related matters. The position will require interaction with all levels within the company. The position can be virtual, hybrid, or office-based, depending on location.As a Risk Management Professional/Paralegal, you willAct as primary resource for Risk Management mattersFile insurance claims; Advise internal clientsabout insurance policies and coverages. Act as liaison between the insurance broker and BCD Travel when managing individual insurance claimsAssist in the selection of insurance brokersSupport internal sales and retention activities by responding to insurance questionnaires and RFPsReview insurance clauses in various third-party contracts including, customer, vendor, supplier contractsApprove select certificates of insurance for compliance with applicable policiesCoordinate the annual insurance renewal process, including review of annual policy questionnaires and responses with internal departmentsAssist in allocation of insurance costs within various departments for budgeting and invoicing purposesMonitor pending insurance claims; provide updates to carriersAssist with gathering quarterly litigation/claims summary for senior staff meetingsThis job description is not designed to contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required for this position.
