Overview
As Java backend developer on the Catalog Games team, you build and improve game-oriented backend systems and services. You own features end-to-end, from design to production support, balancing speed with quality. You work with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable platforms that enhance player experiences. This role sits at the center of game development, contributing to shared platforms, tools, and Java server frameworks. You'll drive documentation and processes to sustain delivery at scale.
Responsabilidades Develop game features, services, tools, and systems for Catalog Games
Contribute across the backend lifecycle: design, implement, test, deploy, monitor, and iterate
Own complete features or components and break work into manageable tasks
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate progress, risks, and plans
Support production services and improve documentation, processes, and ways of working
Contribute to shared platforms and Java server frameworks from a product and reliability perspective
Requisitos principales Strong Java development skills and CS fundamentals (OOP, design patterns, concurrency, scalability)
Experience with databases, web development, UNIX environments, and production backend systems
Ability to design and implement medium-sized systems or components within larger architectures
Experience with established and evolving codebases, understanding patterns and constraints
Experience with automated testing, code reviews, monitoring, debugging, incident investigation, and production support
Ownership mindset with ability to estimate, plan, and collaborate effectively
Willingness to share knowledge and improve documentation
Understanding of team goals and how engineering work adds product value
