About the role

As a Sales Finance Trainee, you will play an active role in supporting the Sales Finance team in Barcelona, contributing to key financial processes and helping drive data-based decision making across the business. Working closely with stakeholders across Sales, Supply Chain, Marketing, and FP&A, you will gain valuable exposure to the commercial and financial dynamics of a leading FMCG organization.
In this role, you will support financial reporting, forecasting, business performance analysis, and cross-functional projects, helping deliver insights that drive business growth, profitability, and operational excellence. Through close collaboration with Commercial and Finance teams, you will develop strong analytical, business partnering, and stakeholder management skills in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Your responsibilities

  • Assisting the Sales Finance team in forecasting and planning cycles, ensuring accurate data preparation and system updates.
  • Supporting month-end closing activities through the preparation, analysis, and consolidation of financial reports.
  • Preparing and sharing financial insights with cross-functional stakeholders, including Sales, Supply Chain, Marketing, and FP&A teams.
  • Monitoring key business performance indicators, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities, and supporting the team with actionable analysis.
  • Supporting customer claims and commercial investments analysis, helping to track financial impact and collaborate with business teams to understand performance drivers.
  • Contributing to pricing and profitability monitoring activities, ensuring alignment with company guidelines and financial objectives.
  • Performing ad-hoc business analyses and providing data-driven recommendations to support commercial decision-making.
  • Supporting the maintenance and reporting of financial data within Reckitt's financial systems and reporting tools, ensuring accuracy and data integrity.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across Mass Market, Pharmacy, and E-commerce channels, gaining a comprehensive understanding of Reckitt's commercial operations.

The experience we're looking for

  • Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Previous internship or academic experience in Finance, Controlling, Business Analysis, Sales Finance, or a related field is considered a plus.
  • Strong interest in Commercial Finance, Business Partnering, and business performance analysis within a dynamic FMCG environment.
  • Analytical mindset with strong numerical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets, reporting tools, and financial analysis (Knowledge of SAP is considered a plus)
  • Proactive, curious, and eager to learn, with a hands-on approach and a strong sense of ownership.
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different functions and levels of the organization.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English (both mandatory)
