At Hays, we are partnering with a cutting-edge international technology company operating at the forefront of space-based data and Earth observation. This organization is recognized for developing advanced satellite solutions that enable continuous monitoring and high-impact insights on a global scale.
We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer in the Space sector to join a growing engineering team working on innovative aerospace systems from concept to deployment.
You will play a key role in the design, development and validation of mechanical structures for satellite systems, contributing across the full product lifecycle, from early concept phases through to final flight models.
Requirements:
Minimum of 15 years of experience in mechanical engineering.
Minimun of 4 years working in the space sector.
Strong expertise in Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks or Siemens NX.Experience in 3D modelling and manufacturing drawings.
Experience in validation, testing, and continuous improvement.
Hands-on involvement in mechanical assembly and integration.
Ability to work autonomously in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentFluent English.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and development of satellite mechanical structuresCreation and maintenance of 3D modelsPreparation and review of manufacturing drawingsDesign of mechanical enclosures/housings for electronic componentsParticipation in full product development (from scratch to flight-ready systems)Validation, testing, and continuous improvement of prototypesHands-on involvement in satellite assembly and integration What's on Offer: Permanent or Freelance contract.
