Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the design process throughout all project phases, from concept through detailed design, construction, and commissioning. Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams including architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, and specialist consultants. Develop and manage design programmes aligned with overall project delivery schedules. Review design deliverables to ensure compliance with client requirements, project specifications, applicable European standards and local regulations. Collaborate closely with project managers, commercial teams, procurement and site operations to ensure design intent is maintained throughout construction. Manage design risk registers, technical queries, Requests for Information (RFIs) and design change processes. Support value engineering initiatives while maintaining project quality and performance standards. Design Manager Requirements ~5+ years of experience in design management, engineering, or project delivery within the construction industry. ~ Experience on large-scale projects, ideally within data centres, mission-critical, pharmaceutical or industrial sectors. ~ Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building services systems. ~ Experience working within BIM environments, including Autodesk Revit and common data environments. ~ If you're looking to join one of Europe's leading engineering contractors and work on landmark mission-critical projects, we'd love to hear from you.
