What is it like to be a Internal Test Manager at DHV Technology?
As an Environmental Test Manager at DHV Technology, you will be responsible for leading the operation, availability, and continuous development of our environmental test facilities, ensuring they meet the highest standards of reliability, safety, and performance required by the space industry. You will oversee the planning and execution of environmental test campaigns, including vibration, thermal, thermal vacuum, and thermal cycling tests, while coordinating resources, facilities, and multidisciplinary teams to guarantee successful project delivery. Acting as the technical owner of the facilities, you will drive investment, maintenance, and improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with ECSS standards, customer requirements, and operational excellence throughout the entire testing lifecycle.
Responsabilities:
As an Environmental Test Facilities Manager at DHV Technology, you will manage and oversee environmental test facilities and campaigns, ensuring their availability, reliability, and compliance with program and customer requirements. You will coordinate resources and support the successful execution of qualification and validation activities for space hardware. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Lead the operation, availability, reliability, and continuous improvement of DHV Technology's environmental test facilities, ensuring compliance with customer and program requirements.
- Act as the technical owner of environmental test facilities, including TVAC chambers, vibration systems, thermal cycling equipment, and associated vacuum, cryogenic, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems.
- Define facility growth strategies, investment plans, technology upgrades, and capacity management to support current and future business needs.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise environmental test campaigns in collaboration with Project Management, Production, Quality, and customers.
- Ensure the proper configuration, validation, and readiness of test equipment prior to campaign execution.
- Lead the execution of vibration, thermal, thermal vacuum, and thermal cycling tests, ensuring schedule compliance and successful project delivery.
- Manage and develop a team of test engineers and technicians, allocating resources, defining priorities, and ensuring operational excellence.
- Review and approve test documentation, including test procedures, TRRs, and test reports, ensuring compliance with ECSS standards and contractual requirements.
- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities, manage technical support contracts, and oversee specialized suppliers.
- Ensure safe facility operations through the implementation and maintenance of operational safety procedures and best practices.
Education and Requirements:
To be considered for this position, the following qualifications are required:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Aerospace, Electronic, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or specialization in test systems, vacuum technologies, or automation is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial environments, preferably in test facilities, production systems, or complex technical operations.
- Proven experience in managing technical teams and industrial equipment or facilities.
- Full professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
