Latrobe City Council is seeking an experienced and contemporary executive leader, to lead its Organisational Performance division and play a key role in delivering the organisation's strategic priorities and Latrobe City 2035 Community Vision. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the General Manager Organisational Performance provides strategic leadership across Business Improvement, Financial Support, Governance, and People & Culture. The role has a broad organisational remit, connecting strategy, people, resources, governance and performance to support effective service delivery and strong outcomes for the community. Working closely with the CEO, Councillors and Executive Management Team, you will play a key role in shaping organisation-wide initiatives, providing trusted advice and contributing to Council's strategic direction and continued success. The OpportunityThis is a broad and influential executive leadership role with the opportunity to shape organisational capability and performance across Council. You will provide strategic leadership that connects the Latrobe City 2035 Community Vision and Council Plan 2025-2029, with organisational priorities, ensuring people, resources and business planning are aligned to deliver Council's objectives. Leading the Organisational Performance division and strengthening organisational capability, performance and accountability. Providing strategic leadership across people and culture, governance, financial support and business improvement. Supporting the ongoing financial sustainability of the organisation to ensure the delivery of efficient and effective services to the community. Leading and supporting continuous improvement, innovation and initiatives that strengthen organisational performance. A strong understanding of organisational performance, continuous improvement and service delivery. Strong financial and business acumen, including business planning, resource allocation and performance management. The ability to operate effectively within the political environment of Local Government and build constructive relationships with Councillors and stakeholders.
