Co-led by CSIC and funded by the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking, 1HealthAI is dedicated to One Health, which brings together human, animal and environmental health. Hosted at CESGA, the supercomputing centre of CSIC and the Xunta de Galicia, it will give researchers, SMEs and startups access to AI supercomputing, shared data and support services. CSIC will connect its research centres across the country with the AI Factory and contribute its expertise in training, dissemination and knowledge transfer.

The project is part of CSIC's AI Strategy 2025-2030 (EstrategIA CSIC), which aims to strengthen the institution's computing capacity for AI and to encourage its institutes to make coordinated use of shared supercomputing infrastructures.

Your mission

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of CSIC's participation in 1HealthAI, making sure the project runs smoothly and meets its objectives. Your main tasks will be to:

  • Plan, coordinate and monitor CSIC's activities, milestones and deliverables in the project.
  • Carry out the administrative, financial and technical monitoring of the project, and prepare technical and financial reports on the use of its resources, with the support of CSIC's central services.
  • Coordinate the involvement of CSIC institutes and research groups in the AI Factory's activities and services.
  • Support project governance and risk management, and help ensure compliance with EU rules on funding, ethics, data protection and AI.
  • Contribute to communication, dissemination and engagement with stakeholders.
  • Qualifications:University degree (Bachelor's or Master's) or PhD in any discipline. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in health and life sciences, or in mathematics, physics, engineering, artificial intelligence, digitalisation and related technologies, although this is not a mandatory requirement.
  • Languages: Spanish and English at a professional working level.
  • Experience: proven experience in project management.

Valuable requirements

  • Experience in managing European projects, particularly within Horizon Europe or EuroHPC.
  • Experience in building interaction and collaboration with stakeholders from research, industry and public administration.
  • Knowledge of website and social media management tools.
  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines.

We offer

  • A contract linked to and limited to the implementation of the 1HealthAI project, starting as soon as possible and running until 31 May 2029.
  • Gross annual salary of 40,000 € – 49,000 €, in accordance with CSIC's salary scales and depending on qualifications and experience.
