Offer Description

The ROMEO project seeks to overcome a major hurdle in nanomedicine: the fact that less than 1% of current nanoparticles reach their target because they are captured by macrophages in the liver and spleen. The research will focus on creating a new generation of carriers capable of maintaining tumor-targeting capabilities while avoiding these biological traps.

• Tasks to be performed: Isolation, characterization, and modification of EVs; studying NP and EV uptake by cells; and conducting biodistribution studies in animal models.

Specific Requirements

Research experience related to general biology laboratory work, cell and molecular biology techniques, and in vitro and in vivo experiments will be valued.

• Section 2 (up to 25 Points)
  • Experience related to cell culture, extracellular vesicle extraction and subsequent modification, and cell interaction with vesicles and particles.
• Section 3 (up to 25 Points)
  • Experience related to experimentation with animal models (mouse).
