Assistant Garden Designer in Calvià

Are you passionate about landscape architecture and outdoor spaces? A well-established garden centre and nursery based in Calvià, Mallorca, is seeking an Assistant Garden Designer to join the team and take an active part in the comprehensive development of gardening and landscaping projects across the island. In this role, you will help transform creative concepts into vibrant, functional outdoor environments, collaborating closely with private clients and execution teams on site.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Serving as a direct point of contact for clients, conducting site visits, attending meetings, and ensuring thorough project follow-up.
• Understanding client needs, preferences, and aesthetic expectations to translate them into tailored landscaping concepts.
• Designing and developing comprehensive plans for private gardens and outdoor living areas.
• Producing detailed 2D architectural drawings, particularly distribution layouts and comprehensive planting plans.
• Selecting appropriate plant species, vegetation, and hardscape materials suited to Mediterranean conditions and project specifications.
• Preparing and presenting transparent estimates and budgets for gardening and landscaping works.
• Requesting and comparing supplier quotes, as well as managing vendors and subcontractors.
• Coordinating works on site, overseeing progress, deadlines, quality standards, and resolving any incidents during execution.

What you bring to the position:

• Higher vocational training (Ciclo Formativo de Grado Superior) in landscaping, gardening, design, or a related field.
• Proficiency in industry design software, specifically AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Adobe Photoshop.
• Advanced command of English (minimum C1 level) for smooth communication with international clients.
• Valid class B driving licence to facilitate travel and site visits across Mallorca.
• Strong organizational skills, keen aesthetic sense, and problem-solving initiative.

What is offered:

• A permanent, full-time contract (contrato indefinido) based in Calvià.
• Regular working hours from Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00, giving you free weekends.
• A gross annual salary starting at 21,000 €, with final compensation adjustable based on your training, experience, and candidate merit.
• An expected start date of 16/11/2026.
