Job Objective/s

The General Ledger (GL) Accountant is responsible for managing all transactions other than Accounts Payable-related; financial reporting, reconciliations, analyses; tax compliance and month-end closing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reports (including AFS) of assigned companies
  • Account Schedule Analyses, Monitoring, and Reconciliations of assigned companies
  • Compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Income Tax Returns of assigned companies
  • Other related schedules and analysis as required

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reviews draft Audited Financial Statements with external auditors on comments and notes.
  • Manages schedules, analyses, and reconciliations of each assigned company.
  • Reviews financial information to support Financial Statements and Closing of Books.
  • Collaborates with Site and Corporate Accounting on all transactions for recording other than Accounts Payable; and Finance on billing and collection information.
  • Manages inter-company transactions and/or advances between subsidiaries and issues corresponding Debit Notes.
  • Collaborates with Tax Team on monthly and quarterly Output tax summary list for BIR submission.
  • Prepares monthly debit notes to reimburse expenses advanced on behalf of other subsidiaries.
  • Prepares monthly income tax computation.
  • Manages the preparation and filing of quarterly and annual Income Tax Return (ITR) and Account Information Form updates.
  • Ensures completeness of journal entries during month-end and year-end for posting of GL approver.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy
  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in General Accounting
  • Working experience using enterprise systems such as SAP and NetSuite preferred
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good organization, prioritization, decision-making, and planning skills
  • Ability to engage others and work collaboratively with all teams in the Controllership department and other departments of the company
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively with a strong commitment to achieving departmental and company goals
  • Attention to detail and sound analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and communicate financial information
  • Team-oriented and flexible, able to work closely with all levels of management
