The organisation is undergoing a strategic transition toward a software- and platform-led operating model, increasing investment in cloud, data platforms, AI and modern engineering capabilities. This role sits within the Strategy Office, partnering directly with senior technology and business leaders to inform high-impact decisions on future technology direction.About the Role We are seeking a senior-level technology strategist to lead structured analysis and decision support across strategic technology domains — including cloud strategy, AI adoption, data platform evolution, and software architecture. The role is best suited to someone with 7+ years' experience in technology strategy, ideally from a top-tier consulting environment or a strategic function within a software driven organisation. You must be comfortable analysing ambiguity, shaping executive level narratives, and supporting major investment decisions.Key Responsibilities: Strategic Technology Analysis • Evaluate strategic options across cloud platforms, AI capabilities, data platforms, and software operating models. • Conduct market, capability maturity, and investment analysis to guide technology decisions. • Build business cases and strategic recommendations for leadership review.Insight & Decision Support • Turn complex data sets and qualitative inputs into structured, evidence-based insights. • Develop models, frameworks, and decision tools that support long-term strategy. • Create executive-ready presentations and strategic narratives.Cross-Functional Alignment • Partner with the Strategy Office, Technology & Engineering, Product, and Finance teams. • Align technology decisions with broader commercial and organisational strategy. • Support internal forums, steering committees, and leadership reviews.Long-Term Transformation Support • Contribute to building a more software-centric operating model and technology culture. • Help define scalable strategic frameworks that can be institutionalised beyond the contract period. • Influence roadmap prioritisation and investment governance.What we are looking for Required Skills & Experience: • 7+ years’ experience in technology strategy, digital transformation, or product/engineering strategy. • Background in management consulting, strategy practice, or a senior strategic role in a software-led organisation. • Strong understanding of modern software delivery, cloud architectures, data platforms and AI-driven capabilities. • Exceptional analytical and problem-structuring skills; able to work from incomplete inputs. • Excellent written and visual communication skills, including building Csuite presentations. • Comfortable working independently with senior stakeholders, operating at pace and managing ambiguity.
