Development Engineer Electrical Yaw System

YOUR TASKS:As a member of our international team, you will take over several development and data analysis tasks for our electrical yaw system. The system consists of a frequency converter system that controls multiple electro-mechanical drives to turn the nacelle. In detail, this includes among others the following tasks:
- Specify, perform, evaluate and document tests for the yaw system on component, system and turbine level
- Analyse field data to verify the correct behaviour of the yaw system
- Program the yaw converter according to aligned functional specifications and design control strategies
- Collaborate in cross-functional teams to discuss yaw system requirements and put them together in a technical specification
- Review with external suppliers the proposed technical solutions, component dimensioning and optimal configuration
- Create relevant technical documentation, e.g. FMEA, manuals and technical notifications
We are looking for candidates who have:
- M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or similar background, preferably in the field of automation, power electronics and/or electrical drives
- Advanced user in MATLAB/Simulink
- Expertise in a programming language like SCL (Siemens) and/or Python is a plus
- Experience in data analysis to be of advantage
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written; Spanish and/or German is helpful
- Well-structured and autonomous way of working with a solution-oriented mindset as well as accuracy and efficiency
- Intercultural understanding and thriving on working collaboratively within cross-functional and global teams
- Readiness for travel to tests at testbenches for up to 20% of the working time on average
