About the role :

We are looking for a QA engineer to help us shape and build the future of our tools and products. You will help us to create and maintain a set of manual, automation and performance test suites for our web applications and restful APIs. It’s a green field project so you can expect to work with cutting edge technologies. It’s a multi-cultural and geographically distributed team where most of the communication is happening online using audio and video conferencing tools. The role will require a certain level of flexibility as your team mates may be working in different time zones primarily in Europe and Philippines.

What you'll be getting up to :

  1. Working as part of the development team to provide technical expertise and support in terms of performance, automation and manual testing.
  2. Ability to understand, analyse, evaluate and act upon business requirements forming a basis for Agile development approaches.
  3. Identify components to be tested and define rapid and pragmatic fit for purpose testing in alignment with the rest of development teams.
  4. Follow best practices, promote industry standards and ensure our products are reliable with an excellent user experience.
  5. Knowledge of business requirements and their impact on delivery, identify and work together with a business analyst to gather missing requirements.
  6. Execute software quality assurance testing via performance and automation tools.
  7. Gather, analyse and summarise test results.
  8. Be flexible to support your applications outside of working hours during major sport events (in rota with your peers and team mates) or during releases that may happen outside of standard working hours.

Requirements :

  1. At least 5+ years of working experience in QA working on varied types of software development projects.
  2. Proven experience in creating detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  3. Experience in testing web applications UI using Playwright or Cypress, alternatively Selenium Web Driver or Appium.
  4. Solid knowledge of at least one modern programming language, preferably TypeScript, JavaScript.
  5. Strong understanding of web technologies.
  6. Familiarity with frontend frameworks.
  7. Basic knowledge of SQL.
  8. Basic knowledge of Linux command line (bash).
  9. Understanding of continuous integration / delivery.

Desirable skills and experience :

  1. Experience in manual and automated testing with RESTful Web Services using any of following tools: SOAPUI, Postman, Insomnia, Rest Assured, Karate or JMeter.
  2. Experienced in performance testing using tools like K6 or JMeter.
  3. Functional, integration and unit testing using JUnit or TestNG, Cucumber.
  4. A background in online sports betting and gaming systems would be ideal, but we would love to hear from people who have any frontend testing knowledge and experience.
