Position:
The Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Degree, in collaboration with Le Cordon Bleu-UFV, S.L., is seeking a candidate to fill the position of Professor of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Degree.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct high-quality research in the culinary field and gastronomic environment.
- Teach undergraduate courses in innovative ways, including experiential learning.
- Participate in interdisciplinary groups and projects.
- Engage in activities that promote the internationalization of the Faculty.
- Mentor students and contribute to their academic and personal growth.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the Faculty's curriculum.
Main Functions:
- Daily demonstration classes (show-cooking), in which the chef prepares the recipe(s) so that students can see the application of the techniques step by step and live.
- Daily practical classes, where students put into practice what they have learned during the demonstration class, guided by the chef.
- Follow-up and accompaniment of the students.
Requirements:
- Haute cuisine and pastry knowledge
- University degree (a Ph.D. will be taken into consideration)
- An international profile with ideally a minimum of 8 years of experience in recognized establishments (hotels, boutiques, restaurants, etc.).
- Knowledge in le cordon bleu methodology
- Excellent teaching skills, with a focus on innovative and experiential learning methods.
- Minimum English level B2
- Experience working in interdisciplinary groups.
- Commitment to the ideals, vision, and mission of the Francisco de Vitoria University and Le Cordon Bleu-UFV, S.L.
