We are currently looking for a Senior Safety Manager to join our OHS Department, working from Spain for Greening's delegation in Germany.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist / provide any pre-construction safety preparation (site specific safety plan creation, subcontractor prequalification, attend coordination meetings, risk assessments, site set-up, etc.).
- Maintain a safe work environment.
- Conduct all safety meetings and attend staff meetings as required, internally, with clients or others.
- Advise on and implement safety policies, procedures, reports, workplace rules and requirements for the company.
- Coordinate with corporate services to work according to Greening safety standards.
- Provide an in-field safety presence while demonstrating and effectively communicating the safety expectations of the owner/contractor as well as ensure compliance with all state, local, and site-specific safety regulations.
- Perform and document jobsite audits and/or observations to identify and correct safety gaps, hazards, mitigate risks, make recommendations, and support the implementation of safety-related process improvements.
- Verify appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as well as environmental and engineering controls are present and utilized on the job site.
- Lead and/or oversee all incident investigations through completion of corrective actions and share lessons learned with all team members.
- Fluent in English (German is a plus).
- 2 years experience in construction site or other similar positions.
- Knowledge in ISO 45001.
- Own vehicle.
- Willingness to travel to Germany when needed.
