DESCRIPTION

We are in search of a Penetration Testing Engineer with a strong passion for security-at-scale to join our team. You will play a key role in delivering continuous assessments by solving complex technology issues, automating tasks, and influencing Amazon services to combat threats effectively.

Amazon is at the forefront of various security challenges across cloud services, Internet of Things (IoT), identity management, mobile devices, and more, all at a massive scale.

As a Security Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that our services, applications, and websites meet the highest security standards by conducting web application, network, and operations penetration testing, automating tasks, and creating threat mitigation plans.

You are expected to lead technically within your team, deliver results efficiently, proactively address architectural gaps, and promote long-term solutions in hardware and software initiatives.

Adhering to Amazon's Leadership Principles, you will need a blend of troubleshooting, technical, and communication skills to excel in this role.

Key job responsibilities
  • Perform penetration testing on proprietary software and hardware for AWS services
  • Conduct manual code audits for web services and software developed in-house by Amazon
  • Create proof of concept code to showcase potential security issues
  • Communicate security issues clearly to developers and assist in testing fixes
  • Collaborate with AWS developers to enhance application security

This position is open in Madrid, Spain.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in security testing and source code auditing
  • Proficiency in Python or similar interpreted languages
  • Professional experience in web application security, network security, and other security disciplines
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with AWS technologies and bug hunting
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages
