About the Team & Business Line
Fund Administration is Citco's core business, and our alternative asset and accounting service is one of the industry's most respected.
Working within the Compliance Team in the Real Estate Investment Fund Services business line of Citco, you will work with various investment fund clients to provide critical support that helps them meet the increasing regulatory and compliance requirements that shape the industry.
Your Role**:
- Overall supervision of the designated portfolio of clients ensuring that all client queries and requests are processed and completed in a timely manner, efficiently and qualitatively.
- Deal with local providers in Spain such as Notary' s officers, tax authorities, registars' officers and review the relevant drafts prepared by such providers. Also follow up registration and issues with registration of deeds, tax filling and other ancillary actions all in Spanish.
- Process and review of legal documents such as Mercantile Registry certificates, public deeds and/or agreements when the transfer in of a company in order to analyse current situation of the company, possible issues that have not been resolved yet and prepare a corporate file.
- Ensure our clients comply with due diligence (CDD) requirements re tenants, sellers or buyers (and counterparties), including assessing client documentation and required risk analysis.
- Review of transactions and completeness of clients' AML/KYC policies.
- Ensure all CDD requirements are met throughout the client lifecycle, including performing obligatory periodic or event driven reviews of CDD files and updating the risk analysis reports, if applicable.
- Assist our clients with annual AML audits as well as annual OCI and UTC meetings.
- Assist in scanning of the clients and counterparty database against various lists, analyzing and clearing of alerts resulting from the scanning.
- Identify clients and/or counterparties that might be considered a(n) (integrity) risk for the organization.
- Update and monitor completeness of relevant internal systems with CDD, client and other related information and documentation.
- Assess various clients' reports and forms (e.g. transaction profile, acceptance, (re)approval, transfer, reactivation, refusal and business termination, etc.).
- Assist the client servicing teams with transaction monitoring.
- Report internally possible suspicious and/or unusual transactions in line with applicable reporting policies and procedures to the local AML/KYC Manager.
- Manage escalations and incidents quickly and efficiently, ensuring legal, regulatory and internal rules are updated at all times.
- Assist with updating clients' internal KYC/AML policies and procedures.
- Monitor completeness of clients' CDD files and actions taken to complete CDD files.
- Assist in development of classroom training and providing training.
- Follow changes in law in Spain which may impact service delivery and ensure that international and/or industry specific legal requirements are met;
About You:
- You have a bachelor degree or country equivalent in civil law/ corporate law or a related discipline, as well as 34 years' experience in similar position.
- You have an understanding of local KYC/AML framework and knowledge of recent legislative developments, as well as previous experience in similar position.
- You are able to work efficiently under pressure.
- You have strong research, analytical and reporting skills.
- You are excellent communicator, and are fluent in English (written and spoken).
- You have good planning and time management/prioritization skills.
- You are able to work in a team and autonomously as well as liaise with other departments within a large organization.
- You are proactive and result driven.
