Job Purpose:
We are seeking a skilled Fleet Support Engineer to join the Vueling Maintenance Department. The role involves 24/7 monitoring of aircraft technical status, control of deferred defects and recurring failures, troubleshooting, and engineering support.
The Fleet Support Engineer works closely with the Maintenance Operations Center (MOC) team to ensure AOG recovery, minimize technical delays, and assist in daily scheduling. Reporting to the MOC manager, Head of Maintenance Operations, and Technical Director.
Main Accountabilities:
- Provide real-time expert advice on the MEL dispatch and technical troubleshooting.
- Ensure accurate reporting of fleet status and control of deferred defects in AMOS.
- Analyze and address repetitive and recurring defects in the fleet.
- Track deferred defects daily and ensure timely rectification plans are in place.
- Monitor findings through maintenance analysis for necessary actions.
- Collaborate with manufacturers for technical consultations.
- Ensure fleet reliability and provide engineering support.
Main Relationships:
Collaborate with Vueling technical teams, Operations Control Center, Flight Operations, and external MROs.
Education:
- University degree in an aviation field or EASA B1/B2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License for A320 family aircraft.
Experience:
- Background in Maintenance Operation Center environment.
- Minimum 3 years in Heavy or Line Maintenance or 3 years in MCC/MOC functions.
Competencies:
- Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Knowledge of PART 145/ PART M regulations.
- Understanding of OEM data and digital health monitoring systems.
- Advanced MS Office skills, familiarity with AMOS and AIMS.
- Ability to work collaboratively and under pressure.
- Strong business acumen, negotiation skills, and experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible schedule and high motivation.
Languages:
- English proficiency (C1 B2 minimum) and Spanish.
Other:
- Availability for shifts (T24H).
- Experience with regulatory bodies, project management, and IT platforms.
