What do we expect from you?
The role is within light-ends which includes Gasoline, Naphtha and LPG.
The exact duties and markets coverage will be determined in due course and will certainly include physical commodity trading to satisfy the supply / export needs of the Cepsa system as well as capturing other merchant opportunities.
While there is scope for speculative derivatives trading within light-ends, the focus of derivatives in this role will be for the purpose of risk managing the exposures.
Key responsibilities:
To negotiate and carry out spot transactions to purchase and/or sell the oil products which are assigned under his/her responsibility.
To execute and monitor all the Hedging transactions in the Futures and Derivatives markets related to the products physical deals and develop analytical reports to assist in taking hedging decisions.
To implement and monitor these new trading opportunities within the market to generate revenue for the company.
To follow up and track global light-ends markets under his/her responsibility, as wellas associated derivatives, identifying new alternatives and to maximise value.
To establish, maintain and develop commercial relations with the different agents, operators and potential counterparties in the Oil Products ́ markets as well as work closely with colleagues throughout the internal departments and other subsidiaries within the Organization.
Master / Bachelor Degree in Business, Engineering, Chemistry or Economics
Fluent in English.
Experience in Light Ends products trading, or as a support function of that desk. Completion of the 225 Trader Development Course; experience in futures and
use of derivative instruments is a bonus.
Ability to Understand technical analysis of statistics and graphics, data management technologies and instruments.
Arithmetically capable, understands the risk exposures and the tools and databases available to establish predictions as accurate as possible about the markets.
Basic Understanding of Supply and Demand dynamics of gasoline and the key data to be tracked.Ability to take on multiple tasks within a fast moving market
